Turkey Support Assembly
The Occupy movement came into being in the wake of the Arab spring and the anti-austerity movements in Spain and Greece.
State supported neo-liberal capitalism is devastating the world in different places at different times.
Right now people in Turkey are rising against their government by creating democratic spaces in the cities and towns. While these struggles are taking place, they are being met by brutal state repression.
Occupy London is proud to host a public assembly on the steps of St.Paul’s Cathedral to offer solidarity with Occupy Gezi and the people of Turkey.
7:00pm, Monday 22nd.
There will be activists and speakers from the Turkish community to address the assembly. Also there will be a chance for everyone to discuss the future of the Occupy movement in London and Turkey.
Welcome to London Gezi
