Achtung – Privatisation a Nazi legacy!! ~ Michael Gold.
Mrs Thatcher is universally credited with creating the privatisation regime that now extends across most of the planet – yet the real roots of privatisation originated in Nazi Germany. The Spanish economist Germà Bel1 has traced the origins of the word ‘privatisation’ to the German word, reprivatisierung – denationalisation – and the term was first used in English by the Berlin correspondent of the Economist in 19361 to describe how the Nazi economy worked.
