Why are the Fracking Industry and Government so afraid?

What are the industry and government so afraid of? Despite being invited, nobody from the industry trade group UKOOG nor government was prepared to be on the panel for the recent #talkfracking events around the country. On Tuesday, the same was the case in West Sussex when BBC Radio Sussex, Surrey and Kent held a live energy debate. It speaks volumes when the industry makes claims like this, yet refuses to openly engage with the public when invited.
