Reclaim the Power – Occupy Assembly

Reclaim The Power is a direct action camp being held near West Burton in Nottinghamshire from Fri 16 – Tues 20 August.

Activists campaigning for economic, climate and social justice are coming together to support No Dash For Gas in the struggle for a clean and fair energy future where people come before profit.

The camp will see groups including Occupy, UKUncut, Disabled People Against Cuts and Greater London Pensioners’ Association working with climate justice groups to connect the dots and work together to challenge the undemocratic, unjust and unsustainable system and build a new movement for positive change.

Occupy will have a strong presence at the camp, supporting the core aims of Reclaim The Power and ensuring that occupiers from across the UK and Ireland have the chance to add to this process of movement building. The Occupy area will include Tent City University from the Occupy LSX site and we’re hoping to build a central kitchen space too.

This unprecedented coalition has potential to mobilise large numbers. We hope you can come too and help build a new mass movement. It’s time Occupiers across the UK and Ireland came together again and joined forces with thousands of others seeking a fairer, more sustainable world for all outside of the failed current systems.

And if you can’t make the assembly on August 1 in London, why not hold your own Occupy assembly in your own town!

All power to the 99%!

Keep It Lit!
