Greenwich Association of Disabled People: Hustings with London’s Green MEP Jean Lambert
GAD is hosting an Election Hustings on 14 May – come and meet the candidates campaigning for your votes!
In Greenwich the Council is holding elections for 3 Councillors for each ward and there is also an election for the European Members of Parliament for London. This is your opportunity to find out where the candidates stand on the issues that matter to you!
Invited are: Conservative, Green, Labour, Liberal Democrat and UKIP.

POST SCRIPT:
These last two videos show what disabled people encounter all the time with the transport system. Before leaving the garage, buses are supposed to be checked that everything is in working order. In this case, the ramp for this 286 bus was faulty. It should not have been allowed to leave the garage, until fixed. The fact that a bus only has room for one wheelchair user is bad enough, but having to wait for another bus, due to a faulty ramp exacerbates the problem. Luckily the next bus had a working ramp.
