Yarls Wood demo – what about Movement For Justice?

## Aim of this meeting ##
* For groups to share how they are interacting with the upcoming MFJ demo.
* To plan practical interactions with the upcoming Nov 18th MFJ demo (travel, banners, etc.)

## Not the aim for this meeting: ##
* To establish “the truth” about the recent allegations against Movement For Justice.
* To formally start planning an “accountability process” of any form.

## Agenda: ##
* Introduce ourselves, our previous interactions with MFJ, groups we are part of etc.
* Outline the aims for the meeting
* Establish ground rules for the meeting
* Share updates from groups
* Discuss practical next steps

## Background ##

A lot of people are reeling after the recent Movement for Justice By Any Means Necessary revelations. Some had been warned by elders or migrants to be wary of the group before this set of allegations came out. Some may still not have heard – check out https://unfollowmfj.wordpress.com/ if so.

Groups that have supported MFJ in the past are having their own internal discussions. Some individuals are wondering: should we still go to the next Yarls Wood demo on 18 November 2017? Should we go on the MFJ coaches? How do we make the demo feel like ours?

Come along to hear updates from some groups about what they’re doing about the next Yarls Wood demo, and find out how you can support any ongoing organising.

There are questions going round about how to collectively respond to these allegations too, how we can make sure that no migrants lose the support they’re getting – and hopefully we can get to them too. But first, the immediacies!
