100 Women at Parliament Square

About Wednesday…

100 years ago, many women suffered extreme hardship, imprisonment, force-feeding, family breakdowns and much more – in order to get us a voice in society – yet we’re still having to fight to be heard!

I think any Suffragette would look at the state of our ‘democracy’ today and be sickened that what they sought for us – in playing a role in society- has been reduced to using that ‘vote’ just once every 5 years to mark an ‘X’ and then be ignored till next time!

So the women of Lancashire are coming to London, Parliament Square on Wednesday – here some of them say why this matters to them:
