Addendum:

The council sent in Bailiffs and Police at 1300 hours Friday 25th 2012.

We always pointed out that we planned on a temporary camp. We wanted to stay a maximum of 28days. six weeks in Mile End Park was too much.

We asked Hackney Council for some time as the judge in the High Court could not make that decision.
Hackney did not inform us of the time we have to leave. Forthwith was the statement. We did point out that costing the taxpayer more money was the last thing on our minds.
1300 hours Friday 25th, a minimum of 6 Bailiffs, protected by 3 police officers, for every camp member, turned up to evict the camp. We numbered 15+, so we ended up with at least 30 police who could have been doing something useful elsewhere.
IT took 4 hours before we could retrieve all our items and move to the new site.
The new site is across the road and is in Tower Hamlets.
