Livestream: Climate Jobs and Climate March 2014
Conference 2014: The International Fight for Climate Jobs – For a Future that doesn’t Cost the Earth
The International Fight for Climate Jobs – For a Future that doesn’t Cost the Earth
This conference was timed to coincide with the International People’s Climate Marches taking place on the Sunday, From London to New York with support from American trade unions, and involving British trade unionists. This is prior to the UN climate talks in NY from 23 September. The conference involved international speakers and contributions via skype from the march organisers and British and American trade unionists on the march.
The Climate Jobs conference attracted an audience of about eighty, many of whom have been working in the Campaign against Climate Change for almost a decade. The Climate Marches attract thousands, but it would have been better if the conference had hundreds of people interested in empowering themselves, rather than a small group of organisers doing all the work.
There was no coverage for most of the day, but I was allowed to livestream this discussion.
