INTERNATIONAL WG MEETING: ICELAND, AGORA99, EU IN CRISIS, REMIT

International Meeting Minutes 29/11/2013

The international Working Group meets more or less once every two weeks.

This week be hearing from those who participated in the following events:
– preparing for Agora99 http://99agora.net/
– Blockupy conference http://blockupy-frankfurt.org/en/

Plus updates on other international campaigns and networks and how we can contribute to them.

There will be the possibility to add topics to the agenda, so if you have an issue to raise do come along.

Why we meet:

From the stock exchanges to the headquarters of multinational corporations, from the UK Parliament to the numerous embassies, London is an agglomerate of centers of power that effect the lives of people all over the globe.

But it is also home to a diverse international community, that can play an important role in strengthening the global resistance and consolidating ties between the movements that are sweeping the world.

Occupy was an example of how powerful these global networks can be, and many of the connections made 2 years ago have been maintained and consolidated.

At these meetings we can discuss together how we can make use of these resources to contribute to the global struggles. Do join and invite your friends!

Minutes by Jonathan C.

Reminder that there will be a TTIP action meeting tomorrow (Monday 2nd) at 7:00 at the London Action Resource Centre (LARC).
