IN CASE YOU MISSED IT. THE FIRE BRIGADES UNION DEMONSTRATION.
RT @LondonFBU Amazing scenes as hundreds of firefighters break away from march and descend on Downing Street. http://t.co/rveTUpbkhQ #olsx
There were hundreds of firefighters a whole branch even coming from northern Ireland, some had brought their families with them and all were raring to go despite the rain.
The photo above was uploaded to facebook and was shared 700+ times and not sure how many times it has been downloaded. No updates on whether march has been reported on the mainstream news.

UCU, Unison and Unite are taking strike action together over pay in Higher Education on Thursday 31 October ( Halloween). Some activists in campuses north of the river are planning a total shutdown , advocating a strategy of building joint action committees in every work place that unite all 3 unions and students to increase the chance of this happening. In my view this should be generalised and emulated at Goldsmiths, Greenwich, London Southbank, Roehampton and any other HE institution in South London that I have forgotten. All welcome on our picket lines in any event. Any victory over pay in the public sector will have repercussions elsewhere , if we win in HE, it will have knock on effects for FE, schools, local government and the NHS, so solidarity is important.
Government putting us all at risk says firefighters’ leader
At a demonstration in central London today against fire service cuts and changes in firefighters’ pension arrangements which will force firefighters to work until they are 60 instead of 55, Fire Brigades Union General Secretary Matt Wrack said the government was putting everyone’s safety at risk.
“The government is putting us all at risk, first by slashing the fire service, and second by forcing firefighters to work beyond the age at which they can physically do the job,” Mr Wrack told the demonstrators.
