Gold Plated Human Rights? By Ashman Dan

Human Rights were created to protect the people from the power of the state in acknowledgement of the scale of harm that too much concentrated power can cause. When the state is ordering those who are meant to enforce human rights not to respect them in order for share holder profits (people who do not live with the consequence of the harm caused), they are ordering those we have mandated to protect us from harm to facilitate that harm and prevent us using lawful means to protect ourselves through effective forms of protest. If protest was effective they would make it illegal. Guess what? The enforcers of law are aiding and abetting known harm, thus breaking the mandate granted by the people.

They are now using the same terminology “Gold Plated” as they did with pensions for employees of the NHS.
