Spain’s economy shrank for the seventh consecutive quarter. In Greece, unemployment this year is predicted to hit 28%. France’s president announced that the EU cannot dictate French economic policy. In Rome and Frankfurt, thousands rallied against the cuts. Riots in Sweden, and violent attacks on soldiers in Britain and France, accompanied the continued rise in support for far-right extremists.

We met with DPACmarched against Monsanto (over 2 million participants from 52 countries around the world), joined demos and discussions to defend the NHS, with UAF and English Disco Lovers against fascism, cheered a man who pushed a toy pig to the Bank of England, joined 200+ people from over 30 nations to exchange visions and practice about more equitable futures. Occupied News Network revealed how through LIBOR rigging bankers cost the country upwards of 1 billion pounds on top of the bailoutA cap on number of GP visits considered by Tories was ousted through a petition victory.Join us this month for some new skills and a new radio station, parties and carnivals, films and book launches, actions at Bilderberg and Canary Wharf, actions to protect our NHS, fire stations and our right to food.

This summer promises to be one to remember.
