Freedom Bookshop and Social Centre
What is it?
This weekend seeks to be an inclusive set of activist “up-skilling” workshops. Those little things that at one time or another we’ve found ourselves wishing we knew but hadn’t got quite round to learning. Do I really have to give my name to the cop asking for it? What can I send over my email and what shouldn’t I? Sessions will cover a wide range of things from lockons, scaffolding, fitwatching, climbing, “big-demo tactics” and eviction resistance. The event is free to attend. Any donations will be split between the Network for Police Monitoring and Freedom Bookshop.
When and Where is it?
Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th March, 10am to 6pm. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for any questions, in particular in relation to mobility and childcare requirements. Skillshare2013 will be held at Freedom Bookshop & Social Centre at
84b Whitechapel High Street
London E1 7QX
Who is it for?
Open to any individual who is seeking radical social change and supports the principle of a diversity of tactics. Basically anyone who gives a shit about our world and the people in it, and wants to do something about it.
Safer Spaces Policy
No drink or drugs on site, in line not only with Freedom’s policy but with an understanding of both the dangers of certain skillshare sessions, and the seriousness of others. No journos or cops. No discrimination or threatening behaviour.
