Stop the Arms Fair: Skills for creative activism
Date(s) - 12/04/2014
11:00 am - 5:00 pm
When: Saturday 12 April, 11am – 5pm
Where: George Fox Room, Friends House, 173-177 Euston Rd, NW1 2BJ
Who: Stop the Arms Fair and Campaign Against Arms Trade will facilitate the training. It’s open to all who oppose the arms trade – and should provide some useful tools and tips whatever you campaign on!
Free to attend.
Subverting lyrics to famous pop songs,
Disrupting the BAE AGM by playing ‘BAE Bingo’,
Disguising arm tubes as missiles,
Or organising a pirate demo to greet arms dealers dining on the HMS Belfast;
…there are lots of ways to be creative. Creativity can make an action more effective, fun and engaging.
This will be a day to be inspired by creative actions, and to share tips, tools and ideas for making campaigning more creative. There’ll be a chance to plot some fun, creative action for soon afterwards too!
