Lib Dem Conference VS Occupy Brighton General Assembly and FREE PARTY CONFERENCE – 4 DA LULZ! :D

Occupy Brighton will be hosting a General Assembly, this Sunday, 23rd September between 1pm-4pm, on the south side of Kings Road (A259) lobbying the Lib Dem Party Conference at the Brighton Centre.

We are all suffering different symptoms of the root cause, from moderate belt tightening to deep poverty & homelessness. This event is intended to bring all our communities together, to discuss the problems we are facing and to propose practical solutions to them. Individually, the problem is insurmountable. However, we believe that together we can truly be “the Big Society” described in the Con-demolition Government’s rhetoric.

We will be focusing on ways to build an “Alternative Coalition”, preparations for Re-Occupy, which will commence on the year anniversary of Occupy London, October 15th and holding a “Free Party Conference”. The theme for discussion will be the “Anti-democratic Inaccessibility of UK Politics in the 21st Century”. We will aim to spend 45 mins on each agenda point with 15 minute intervals – any performers who would like to entertain us during the breaks, or at the Free Party Conference afterwards – please get in touch!

11am – Final Planning Meeting – Preparations for the day’s activities.

1pm – “What Are They Doing in There”? – The Lib Dem Party Conference @the Brighton Centre. – A discussion about lobbying and Party Sponsorship.

2pm – Andreas Whittam Smith’s Democracy 2015 and other ideas for building an “Alternative Coalition” of the people, for the people.

3pm – Re-Occupy: October 15th – Scheming & Planning for better times ahead.

4pm – FREE PARTY CONFERENCE – 4 DA LULZ- Please Bring Picnics/BBQs/Instruments/Soundsystems/Banners/Flags/Party stuff

We are your neighbours, we are your friends we are your family. Please join us in our efforts to redemocratise our society.
