Meditation Flash Mob for Earth Day – Parliament Sq
Date(s) - 22/04/2013
6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Westminster Bridge Rd
Every year on April 22, more than one billion people take part in Earth Day. Across the globe, individuals, communities, organizations, and governments acknowledge the amazing planet we call home and take action to protect it.
Let us come together as a community in meditation, prayer and silence, linking hearts and minds in unison; synchronizing in harmony and balance.
Together on Earth Day, we rededicate ourselves to live lightly and respectfully on the planet, and help ease environmental problems such as the destruction of the rainforests, global warming, air and water pollution and climate change.
When: Monday 22 April 2013 6:30pm to 7:30pm
Where: On the pavement around Parliament Square, opposite Big Ben.
For: People of all ages, faiths, backgrounds, cultures and political perspectives.
Bring: A meditation cushion/stool, and something waterproof to sit on, if ground is wet.
For the last ten minutes, we will do a sound bath where we will chant sounds such as Om or Ah, or any sounds that call you personally.

Who We Are:
Wake Up London is a community of young people, aged between 16 to 35, who come together to practice the art of mindfulness in the midst of everyday life. We are inspired by the teachings of Zen Buddhist master and peace activist Thich Nhat Hanh and practice together in order to take care of ourselves, nourish joy and contribute to a healthy and compassionate society.
