Frack the Frackers – Give us a Million Climate Jobs Now!
Date(s) - 29/09/2013
10:30 am - 1:00 pm
The Tory Party Conference is taking place in Manchester this year and starts on the 29th September.
Trades Unionists opposed to cuts and the privatisation of the NHS, as well as anti-Bedroom tax and anti-war campaigners and countless others are all marching to demand the Government stop what they are presently doing and to listen to the people.
Why should those opposed to the environmental disaster threatened by fracking for shale gas, coal bed methane extraction, so-called ‘bio-fuels’, and underground coal gasification, and who support developing renewables and a reduction in energy usage be any different, and not join with them on the day?
Surely, what we all should be saying is if they’re aren’t prepared to listen to us, then we will combine together and bring the entire power of the people to bear and boot them out of office?
Come join with those of us in the North West who are opposed to fracking and other forms of extreme energy and who think the Government should be investing in climate jobs, in a single united ‘Frack the Frackers Bloc’ on the 29th September march to the Tory Party Conference.
At the very least that will better allow us to raise greater awareness of what we ourselves are wanting amongst a wider and likely sympathetic audience of campaigners on other issues. At best in might get the Tories to begin to recognise that if they don’t start to listen, that their days in office might soon come to an end.
Assemble Bexley Square in Salford at 10.30am. Move off at around 11.30am.
