Abolish Interest: Disaster or Solution?
Date(s) - 19/07/2014

The Mayday Rooms
– A debate, discussion and improvisation. For two years the Economics Working Group of Occupy London have been unable to make up their minds. Clive Menzies will propose the end of all interest (usury?) and Dave Dewhurst will initiate the opposition. Those present will, we hope, demand clarity and present (really) relevant aspects missed. We aim to reach a conclusion! (or consensus or, at worst, count votes.)
The discussion reaches the core of economics, such as the nature (& potential nature) of money & the mechanisms for the fairest, most productive & benign distribution and creation of resources. Help us.
Warning: The Mayday Rooms have no disabled access, though WiFi enables Skype. Otherwise the event is open to anyone interested. The entrance is on the pavement approaching St. Brides’, not Fleet St. itself. For more info/offerings use firstname.lastname@example.org or 077399 73653. There will be a voluntary collection for room hire.
