BALCOMBE COMMUNITY PROTECTION CAMP FIGHTING IN THE HIGH COURT

Sussex is not for Shale.

Sussex is not for Shale.

Balcombe Community Protection Camp will be fighting eviction at the High Court this Monday (16th). They need you to be there and visible! Bring banners & your friends. 9am, Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London.

The camp is standing strong against increasing pressure from West Sussex County Council and the Police. It’s an important time to get down to the camp and pitch-in, meet residents and hound Cuadrilla through their rapidly expiring planning permission (ends 28th Sept).

The community resistance in Balcombe is being watched by wannabe fracking companies and councils all over the UK. We need to make clear that this resistance cannot be repressed and that this industry has no future.

Balcombe has also been invited to another site, but the Alfa site is still extant.

“Ought we be concerned that our rights to protest are being continually eroded under the guise of enhancing our safety?
Is there a relationship between proposed fracking in the UK, new laws that prohibit protest and the relationships between energy companies and our government?”
