I am part of OLSX. I am committed to peaceful assembly and Occupation. Most others who are at the camps for the genuine reason of discussion dialogue, debate and the process of the Occupy Movement are similarly committed. We are working towards a fairer and better, more rational system.

Of course there are people who may represent themselves as part of this movement who have the intention of stirring up violence as a form of undermining the peaceful movement. It ever was thus.

I will have no part in violence, tomorrow or ever. I will take personal responsibility to prevent it. I am engaged in legitimate Occupation, and will always use non-violent civil disobedience, when civil disobedience is required.

Further to that, I read in another article in the Guardian that the Met have sent letters warning anyone previously arrested not to attend.

“The letters have been sent to anyone arrested in connection with previous public disorder offences even if they were later cleared or charges were dropped.

The police have admitted the names and addresses come from a database of those arrested during anti-austerity protests. They include protesters aged 17.”
