My comment relates to the article, which portrays the arrestees as victims without consideration as to what they might have done to have caused their arrest. I am not assuming that they would not be educated about peaceful protest but would like to have seen the article express this.

you just seem to assume that the arrestee is the victim. Perhaps they were arrested because they were breaking the law. You therefore need to educate them about how you are a peaceful protest group not a bunch of extremists
