That sentence refers to ‘corporates’, not ‘corporations’, and is expanded upon in the final 2 paragraphs of the statement:

“A welcome development at Occupy London is that many people working within these corporations have communicated support for our concerns. We encourage anyone to come forward and offer their opinions, or any relevant information, either openly or confidentially, to add to this discussion.

We recognise that corporate employees may feel like they do not have the power alone to create change, but by welcoming them into talks with Occupy London and working together, we can create a socially responsible and sustainable economic system.”

Above you state that corporations

but you also rightly identify them as being psychopathic in nature. So they will lie, cheat, obfuscate and do anything else which protects their bottom line, year on year profit increases and their desire to externalise all costs. This is what they do, This is their nature like lions hunts wildebeast. Like any psychopath you have to separate them so they can do no harm to the society for which they care nothing.Once you have got rid of the corporation you then might have more luck talking to the individual people who were once part of them. Try to bargain with corporations as they exist and they will eat you.

I can’t make it to the camp very often but it would be great to see in the next version a moderate demand: that politicians not be able to take lucrative corporate jobs while in office or after office (see every Prime Minister of this country of recent times being employed by banks) and perhaps something rather more radical about the need to restructure the corporate legal entity so that it has real controls on it beyond the demands of profit.

This is nonsense. Entire gibberish. You cannot compare GDP of a country with turnover of a corporation.

Well, OK, you can, as you are doing, but it is nonsensical to do so.

Might it not be advisable to understand the economics of the current world before demanding a new economics?
