About the Working Groups
For specific areas of activity, Working Groups are formed to implement proposals agreed upon at the GA.
This allows groups some autonomy to conduct activities without the micromanagement of the GA, but democratic oversight and accountability is maintained by regular reports to the GA from Working Group delegates.
Working Groups, like the GA, are open to all and use consensus as a way of making
the meetings as efficient democratic.
Working groups are also responsible for the camp’s statements on policy, our ways to identify the issues the movement wants to address and the ways to find new solutions.
The groups meet around three times a week and often meet in the evenings or weekends to accommodate those who have full time jobs.
